It’s hard to turn down chocolate, especially dark chocolate. Cacao beans grow in pods. When the pods are ripe, they are carefully removed from the trees and opened to remove the cacao beans. Once the beans are removed, they are left to ferment for up to five days. After that, the beans are dried and prepared to be roasted, where the process of becoming chocolate begins.
