At Avanti, our tobacco is hand-selected and heritage-forged. Family farmers in Kentucky and Tennessee begin harvesting in late July through early August, thoughtfully and carefully choosing the right leaves for wrapper and filler by stalk position.
The wrappers are made from leaves higher in the plant which are higher in nicotine and lower in sugar with a rich flavor. Meanwhile, we select leaves from lower on the plant for the fill. These leaves are sweeter and have lower nicotine content and a thin body. Combined, this creates a balanced full experience.
The leaves are then fire-cured in specialty barns using select Hickory and Oak logs. This month-long process removes around 85% of moisture and immerses the leaf in deep, smoky notes.
Finally, nature takes its course with slow fermentation under pressure, unlocking natural sugars and balanced richness that define Avanti’s signature flavor.
