Are you ready to become an experienced aficionado? These tips will help you dive deeper into the world of cigars. Grab an Avanti and get started!

Selecting your cigar

Avanti cigars offer a range of flavors and styles to suit every palate. From smooth and mellow to bold and robust, there’s a cigar for everyone. We recommend a milder cigar for beginners and moving towards stronger cigars as your palate develops.

Cigar Anatomy

Understanding the parts of a cigar is essential. From the foot (the end you light) to the head (the end you smoke), familiarize yourself with terms like wrapper, binder, and filler to get the best smoke experience. Did you know we don’t use any binder in Avanti cigars?

Cutting and Lighting

Many cigars require a sharp cutter to make a clean slice just above the shoulder of the cigar. However, Avanti’s dry-cured cigars don’t require a cigar cutter! Simply remove the cigar from the cellophane sleeve and get ready to light up.

Toast the foot of the cigar evenly (we recommend using a torch-style lighter) before taking your first puff, ensuring a smooth and even burn.

Smoking Etiquette

Take slow and steady puffs to savor the flavors of the cigar. When puffing, allow the smoke to linger in your mouth for a moment before exhaling to fully appreciate the taste.

Ash Management

Avoid the temptation to tap the ash off too frequently. Let it build up naturally – a longer ash indicates a well-constructed cigar with a proper burn.

Caring and Storage

Many cigar aficionados will purchase a humidor to preserve the flavor and aroma of their cigars. Avanti’s dry-aging and fire-curing process removes the need for such a purchase. Our resealable foil packaging also keeps them nice and fresh for enjoyment at your discretion.

Cigar smoking is as much about the experience as it is about the flavor or buzz. Take your time to enjoy the ritual of selecting, lighting, and trying new pairings with your cigars, while savoring each puff. With Avanti Cigars, you’re not just enjoying a smoke but immersing yourself in an Italian family recipe dating back centuries. So sit back, relax, and enjoy.
